“No. Well, I have the same back pain as everyone else.”
“Do you experience pain before or during your cycle?”
“No. I mean, only normal amounts of pain.”
“Do your legs hurt often?”
“No, only when I walk. Why, is that a problem?”
“Do you feel pain or discomfort after eating?”
“No, not too much to live with.”
PSA: Pain is your body’s way of telling you that something is wrong.
Pain is not normal. In pain is not how you are supposed to live.
Even if everyone in your office has back pain.
Even if all your friends also get awful PMS.
Even if you have flat feet.
Even if your whole family has digestive problems.
Pain is your body asking for help!
If everyone around you suffers from the same pain, it might mean that there is a strong genetic or environmental influence, but it doesn’t mean that pain should be a normal part of life.
Even just for this week, when your body tries to talk to you, please listen and see what it has to say.
Please give your body at least as much attention as you would a friend or loved one.
